Strategic channelization of urban development in the context of COP 26 proceedings needs to be developed to create healthier, resilient and sustainable cities. Following urban systems approach to urbanization, preparing natural resource plans, planned peri-urban development, developing IT inclusive cities and smart infrastructure, preparing smart city disaster management plans, developing ‘walkable cities’ and transit oriented development, and green mobility solutions are suggested to develop the future cities and communities as resilient and sustainable entities.
